MY BEAUTIFUL DAY

I have a lot of things racing through my head tonight.
Things I want to say...
Don't know how to say them, but I KNOW I want to get them down.

Today I went to a funeral for this amazing man.

I first knew CJ through my sister Jen.
If I recall they were pretty close buds back in the day.
I had the privilege of going to High School with CJ for 2 years as well.
That was 11 years ago!!
I'm sure I have seen him at sporting things from time to time since then,
nothing I can put my finger on.
I mostly remember High School.
I keep recalling passing him in the hallway, and he always said hi.
Who knows if he remembered me exactly
but I'm sure he knew I was "Jen Beasley's little sister".
Ive been know as the little sister most of my life. :)
I am pretty sure we had a few other conversations beyond this.
I don't know if they were good, or bad.
But I remember him vividly in High School.

There is a purpose for all this background... Trust me.

Anywho,
CJ tragically passed away on Valentines day.
For the past 11 days he has popped into my mind multiple times.
Random memories, but mostly feelings of happiness for having known him.
And complete sadness for his dear wife.

Like I said CJ and I probably haven't made any form of communication
in over 10 years, that I recall.
So when I found out the date of his funeral,
a lot of questions came into mind.
Should I go? Do I belong there?
Will people wonder what the heck I am doing there?
I ultimately decided (with the help my little brother) that I should attend.
I knew him, remembered him and did belong there.
I felt pretty good planning on going.

Well when I got to the funeral today all those worried questions came RACING back.
I sat pretty uncomfortable for awhile.
I knew a TON of people there, but still felt uneasy.
As the funeral started my worries quickly faded.
I was here to celebrate a life of someone I had known once.
Someone who had become even more amazing in the
Gospel and life then I had ever remembered.
During every talk I learned so much more FROM CJ then I did before.
In 2 hours he taught me so many things that I needed at this exact moment in my life!
Even beyond the grave he's teaching and touching people!!
I pray that someday I am able to touch people as CJ did me- today.

Of course my heart ACHES for his dear wife.
I cant, nor want to imagine what she is going through...
How grateful I am for ETERNAL families.
I pray she is able to find peace!!

As I posted on my facebook,
here are the things that were impressed on me
-or that CJ's life impressed on me-
during and after the funeral today.

Life is precious!!

Don't waste time on things that don't matter!!

Love like you have never loved before!!

Cherish all you have been given!!

The Gospel is TRUE and we should be living it every minute of everyday!!

LOVE the Temple and go OFTEN!!

Be a SHINING example & change the lives of everyone you come in contact with!!

What a BEAUTIFUL day it was!!
Thank you to CJ for these precious gifts.
There were AMAZING stories told about him,
but maybe I'll blog those tomorrow.
This was already long enough.
I just wanted to share with everyone the wonderful thing I was taught today.

I LOVE my beautiful daughter and dear husband!!

What would we be without family??

We love you ALL!!

See you here SOON!!

WELCOME!!!

Hey there!!
I finally have a few minutes to blog!!

I want to get all these pics posted (all 23 of them), and hit the sack early.
I've been going to bed WAY too late, lately.

Sorry about the quality on some of these.
Addi has hidden our camera somewhere.
Most of/if not all of these were taken with my phone.

So with "limited commentary",
WELCOME TO OUR HOME!!!

The Front Entrance

In a bit and to the right, our half bath.
(Almost across from here is the door to the basement-no pics)

The basement has a game room set up.
The boys like to play down there and have some fun gadgets.

Our Living Room

The "Dining Area" with nothing to dine on. :)
We are actually getting used to the no table idea,
and enjoy the extra room to play in.
(Hey I spotted someone!! Its Mr. Duke)

One of MY faves.... The Amazing Kitchen

This leads to a "mud room", which leads to the garage.
(no pics)

The pantry

Lets head upstairs!!

Upstairs layout

Behind here and to the left we have
The Master Bedroom

Our ever so COMFY bed

Our AWESOME Master Shower
(It is a double headed shower, if you can't tell)

Don't you love the "blinds"?
Courtesy of Russ
Moving over a bit to...

The TUB!!!
I love my tub!!!

Our double sinks
(Can you tell what's "his" and whats "hers"?)

To the right, our Walk-in Closet

And finally
The Throne

Out of our room and moving down the hallway
We have
Addison's Bathroom

Double sinks as well

This is where the REAL MAGIC happens...
(It makes me laugh when people say that about a bedroom)
Anyone who gets stains out of things
knows EXACTLY what I am talking about!!

Addi's room!!
And her BIG GIRL BED!!

I added this adorable thing to her room since that pic was taken
(Still thinking of colors G. They sure look cute this way too!)

Addi's toy room
We spend A LOT of time in here :)

The other half of the room

But the BEST part about this WHOLE home??

THIS GORGEOUS LITTLE THING!!
She sure makes EVERYTHING perfect!!

Thanks for going on the "practically-virtual tour"!!

We hope you enjoyed it!!

I have a BUNCH of new FUN pics I can't wait to post.

You betcha!!

Addi has never played "dress up" before.
And she LOVED it!!

She was taking it very seriously!!

Me on the other hand,
couldn't get enough of how cute she is!!

Yes, she was blowing kisses as she walked away. :)
TOO CUTE!!!

She REALLY wanted to leave and go see Kate Kate.

I guess we've got us a GIRLY GIRL!!
Or she enjoys being fancy every now and again. :)

ADDI AND HER SHENANIGANS

Lots of changes going on in this house right now!!
Addi is OFFICIALLY in a "big girl bed"!!
She is on our queen size bed,
I'm nervous... REALLY nervous!!
Russ built awesome barriers so she SHOULDN'T roll off...
But we will see what tonight brings.
I may not sleep. :)
(Another reason I LOVE my Video Monitor!!!)

She is doing REALLY well with potty training,
although she has been using it as an excuse to get out of everything.
(Bed, her bath, dinner, etc.)
She tells me she has to go to the bathroom,
and then magically changes her mind when I get her in the bathroom.
Its SUPER fun...
Oh and she is too big to fit on those "little potties"
So its the big toilet,
and I get to sit with her,
kneeling on the floor the whole time.

I am really enjoying the changes though!!
Although its making her grow up all to quickly
OR maybe time is doing that,
but its crazy either way!!

I have started taking pics of the house.
Here are 2....
Front Entrance

One of the selling points...
Our AWESOME shower!!

Interested in seeing more?? :)
Post coming some time next week!!
I have 2 more rooms to take pictures of,
and then we'll go on a "tour".

And now to the title of this post.
Addi is a HOOT!!
For those of you that know her,
you know what I am talking about.
Clever little monkey who is always coming up with something.
Or getting into something.

Well, when bath time is coming to an end,
she always puts her toys in "their spots".
Her 3 ducks go to the back of the tub ledge.
The "pig ball" goes to the other side.
Pooh & Tigger go in the soap holder.
Her "baby" doll goes up front, as well as Eeyore.
Yes, lots of toys, but she LOVES all of them.
She puts them in these spots every night.
The other night this is how her baby ended up.
She even added a screaming sound effect as she put her in this position.
Baby stayed like this until the next bath time.

She also found a friend for Eeyore.
Bless her heart, she knew he was lonely!!

Yesterday we were playing in the toy room.
Addi found the nail polish we had painted her nails with a few weeks back.
I kid you not, I looked away for 30 seconds and turned back to this!!
At least she remembered to do it on the "piano chair".
Her hands and the chair were LUCKILY the only things harmed.
Easy cleaning.
And I couldn't really correct her.
She was trying to paint her nails!!
And really did pretty good!!

Our CUTIE PIE!!
I wish I could record her every moment for you all to enjoy.
I am laughing 95% of my day.

You can't help but smile looking at her!!

Russ is home right now,
We are in HEAVEN!!
I'm only blogging cause he's playing games with Rich....
And now they are done.
MOVIE TIME!!

We'll see ya here next week!!
